We have developed a unique \u2018how to\u2019 manual, the Human-Elephant Coexistence (HEC) Toolbox, of more than 80 tried and tested elephant deterrents to empower rural communities to protect their livelihoods from elephants.<\/p>
We\u2019re now training communities across the African continent on how to use these methods which include innovative beehive fences, chili rag fences, watch towers and alternative crops such as sunflowers.<\/p>
